“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.” -Carl Jung

Specialty Areas.

  • Couples Therapy

All relationships have challenges. Therapy can help with repairing past hurts, managing conflict, improving communication, enhancing intimacy, finding shared meaning, and strengthening your friendship. I use Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and have completed Levels 1 and 2. I welcome LGBTQIA+ couples.

  • Anxiety Disorders

If you can’t stop worrying, feel overwhelmed, struggle with social anxiety, or feel burdened by intrusive thoughts, counseling can help. Anxiety and stress are normal, but they don’t have to take over your thoughts. In therapy, you’ll acquire tools and insights to manage stress and anxiety in a more manageable way.

  • Eating Disorders

If you struggle with restriction, chronic dieting, compulsive exercise, binging, or purging, therapy can help you reclaim your relationship with food and with your body. Begin to explore the underlying causes and make peace with food, while cultivating self-compassion and acceptance.

  • Life Transitions

Recent life transitions such as moving, beginning college or graduate school, divorce or separation, or loss, can affect your sense of stability and normalcy. Working with a mental health counselor can help you find your way. I often use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Existential Psychotherapy, and Narrative Therapy with clients who are in the midst of a life transition.
